Dia De Los Muertos - Virtual Ofrenda

💐 Día de los Muertos: A Holy Remembrance of Love and Life
Each year, as autumn settles in and the Church prepares for All Saints and All Souls Day, families across Mexico and Latin America begin a sacred celebration of remembrance — Día de los Muertos, the Day of the Dead.
Far from a morbid occasion, it is a joyful reunion of souls, a time to honor and pray for those who have gone before us. Families build ofrendas — home altars adorned with candles, flowers, photos, and favorite foods — as a way to remember the lives and love of their departed loved ones. The marigolds represent the fleeting beauty of life, and the light of the candles symbolizes prayers guiding each soul toward eternal peace.
In our Catholic faith, we know that death is not the end. Through Christ’s resurrection, we hold fast to the promise that love endures beyond the grave — that one day we will be reunited in Heaven.
This Día de los Muertos, we invite you to take part in our Virtual Ofrenda — a sacred space of remembrance hosted here at The Little Catholic. You can add the name of your loved one and join our community in prayer for all the souls who have gone before us.
Together, let us remember with love, pray with hope, and trust in the mercy of God who unites us all. 🌼
Love and miss you everyday dad and Chelly.
